Show CURT SMITH HAS ALSO EARNED A RIGHT TO BE HONORED HERE TONIGHT. CURT HAD A SUMMER JOB WORKING ON THE EASTERN HALF OF THE BRIDGE WHILE THEY WERE WELDING THE CANTILEVER SECTIONS. SINCE THE BRIDGE IS STILL STANDING, THERE IS OBVIOUSLY NO TRUTH IN THE RUMOR THAT CURT'S JOB WAS TO FOLLOW THE SAFETY INSPECTOR AND ERASE THE NO GOOD CHECK MARKS. HE RECENTLY RETIRED AS THE HEAD OF DINWIDDIE CONSTRUCTION, WHICH SURVIVED THE DEPRESSION DAYS ON THE $10,000 PROFIT IT EARNED BUILDING THIS MAGNIFICENT BOHEMIAN CLUBHOUSE FOR A MERE $450,000. GOOD JOB, CURT EDGAR KAISER, JR. is THE GRANDSON OF HENRY J. KAISER, THE SON OF THE LATE EDGAR KAISER, AND THE BROTHER OF HENRY M. KAISER.
