Show EWL Center, Stanford Dedication Remarks 10-5-88 THANK YOU JOHN. Your very generous remarks are genuinely appreciated. I also experienced a sense of relief that you came here with instructions to praise me, not to bury me. The reason for my concern will become clearer if I share with you a letter I wrote, addressed to the Dean and to the staff of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, especially those concerned with development and alumni relations. My letter was dispatched soon after the ground-breaking ceremony for this building. It was entitled "A Letter From The Land Of The Lost" and it read as follows: |
