Show THE AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS PACIFIC AREA 1550 SUTTER STREET SAN FRANCISCO 1, CALIFORNIA May 9, 1951 May 12, 1951 Mrs. Wallace White Public Information Chairman Weber County Chapter American Red Cross Ogden, Utah Dear Mrs. White: We were very glad to learn from Mrs. Greenwell that you have accepted the appoint¬ment as Chairman of Public Information for your chapter. May we extend to you our congratulations. In this position, you have an opportunity to serve not only the chapter workers but the entire community. The responsibility for directing the program will be yours, and the plans worked out by you and your committee should be devised to give your community a better understanding of chapter, national and international activities. In our records, here, we have a number of sub-chairmen listed for Weber County Chapter. We hope these sub-chairmen are all still active, as sub-chairmen and committee members are of great assistance to a Public Information Chairman. How¬ever, we would appreciate your letting us know if our records are no longer cor¬rect in listing any of these sub-chairmen. They are as follows: Radio – Mr. George Morgan, Speakers Bureau - Miss Kay Randall, Display - J. O. Clarke, and Press - Mr. Bert Strand. These sub-chairmen have been listed for some time so it may be our records are out of date. Perhaps your chapter would like to subscribe to one of the picture services which many Public Information Chairmen find so effective in keeping Red Cross activities constantly before their communities. Under separate cover sample copies have been sent to you of "Picture Of The Week" and "Monthly Photographic Service". Infor¬mation has been sent with the samples on the price and number of pictures sent out each month. We have included, also, the latest catalogue of motion pictures and some mimeographed material which we thought might be of assistance to you. With best wishes for the success of your public information activities, Sincerely, O. C. Duckett Director Office of Public Information cc: Weber County Chapter 1951 National Convention NEW YORK CITY * June 25-27 |
