Since the Korean trouble there has been marker; increase in requests by families or servicemen for trips to base hospitals at ch Hill Field and Naval Supply Depot, CAREEN SERVICE Our canteen stands ready, with adequate personnel, to act in any emergency. In February this year our canteen worked 3 days serving hot coffee, fruit juices, and cookies to the blood donors at the Utah General Depot. PRODUCTION These volunteers produce garments, both knitted and sewn, for the armed forces, as well as civilians in war-torn countries. Seventy six pairs of drapes were made for the station hospital and recreation room at Hill Field, Garments were made and sweaters knitted and presented to the Veterans Hospital at Salt Lake City, Two dozen skirts were made for the Navajo Indians. This committee is now in the process of making apron kit bags, sweaters, and socks for the Armed Forces. GRAY LADIES This committee will be called into action when the Red Cross establishes a blood center in Utah. They worked 3 days at Utah General Depot during the taking of blood there.
