Marriott-Slaterville Monthly History April 2014 April's weather was very similar to March with cold, rainy days and beautiful, clear days with lots of warm sunshine. The lawns, flowers, trees, fields and pastures love the rain and reflect that in their beauty this time of year. Every little bit of moisture we receive helps to offset the drought. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE WE LIVE IN! It's time for spring cleaning; clean up the house, yard and barn. Get rid of all that junk! To help rrl you spring clean a dumpster will be placed at Marriott Park and Slaterville Park on May 3 and 4 . Please put all garbage inside the dumpster, not on the ground. This is a complimentary service, so please be considerate of others using the dumpster. No tires or hazardous materials allowed. If you have a junk car, call Bill at the City Office. The annual Easter Egg Hunt was held for children ages 1-8 at the Slaterville Park on Saturday, th April 19 at 10:00 am. There were approximately 250 to 300 people in attendance. After the 'Start' signal was given, thousands of eggs quickly disappeared! The Easter Bunny made a special appearance and the event went down in city history as another success!
