Show Myrna Smout Panter Meyerhoffer March 11, 1930 r July 27, 2014 Myrna Smout Panter Meyerhoffer, 84, passed away July 27, 2014. She was born in Ogden on March 11, 1930 to Clifford and Marzula Smout and was raised in Slaterville. She was the second child of five and the only girl among four brothers. She attended Weber County schools, graduating from Weber High. Myrna married Calvin E. m Panter in 1948, they had three ^ children and were later divorced. She married Cleve Meyerhoffer in 1979 and gained three more children from that marriage. Myrna retired from IRS after 25 years of service in 1990. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had several callings for the church. f- Keeping her active and young 1 were several clubs that she \ participated in, including; B.P.W. O. where she served two terms as President and was chosen Woman of the Year in 1985; The American Business Womens Club where she was chosen Woman of the Year in 1998; the D.O.E.S; Eagle Auxiliary; Daughters of Utah Pioneers Gold Star Camp; two pinnacle clubs and the Lakeview Underground Club. Myrna is survived by her children, C. John Panter, Barry (Lisa) Panter, Jan M. (Gene) Sase, Melvin (Joan) Meyerhoffer; her brothers, Jay (Fayrene) Smout, Curtis E. Smout, James (Vicki) Smout; sister-in-law, Shirley Smout; daughter-in-law, Linda Meyerhoffer. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Travis, Chase, Whitney, Brodie, Nikki, Tyson, Rob, Riley, Rudy and Cody; several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren and adopted grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve; parents; brother, Ronald Smout; step-son, Eldon Meyerhoffer and stepdaughter, Cleora Oliver. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Marriott-Slaterville Second Ward, 250 North 1500 West. A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. and Friday prior to the service at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.myers-mortuary.com Betty Jean Marble Rhead June 26, 1924 ~ August 23, 2014 Betty Jean Marble Rhead passed away on August 23, 2014 at Lotus Park Assisted Living in West Haven, Utah. She was born on June 26, 1924 in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Harold H. Marble and Elizabeth Durfey Marble. Betty attended Ogden City schools and graduated from Ogden High in 1942. After high school, she worked at Ogden Supply Depot for a year and then transferred to Hill Air Force Base until the end of World War II. She then worked for Utah Power and Light in Ogden. Betty married Harold Skeen Rhead on July 9, 1947 in the Logan Temple. They lived in Morgan, Ogden, and settled in Pleasant View where they raised, their family of five children. She' was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. She served as a Relief Society President, Ward Librarian and various other positions in the Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society. Betty was a volunteer at the North Ogden Branch Library and the North View Senior Center. She loved gardening, landscape painting, reading, cake decorating and being with her family and friends. Betty was a very beautiful and gracious woman. She had an unending love for each member of her family. Betty is survived by four children Douglas Rhead, Connie Larsen, Curtis Rhead and Norman Rhead; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Marilyn Adams; and a brother, Doyle Marble. y Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son, Jim; son-in-law, Don Larsen; grandson, Scott; her parents and brother' Dale. As a family, we wish to express our appreciation to Lotus Park Assisted Living, Hospice for Utah and Harmony Homecare for all their gentle care, love and compassion for Betty. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Myers Ogden Mortuary located at 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment in the Deweyville City Cemetery.
