Now is the time to recognize someone for going above and beyond as a neighbor, business, leader, youth, or volunteer. Nominations are now being accepted by the Mayor for the following: ► The Good Neighbor Award - nominate a neighbor or business that is an exemplary example. ► Elna Lucas Community Culture/History Award - nominate a person who has contributed to our local community history or culture. ► H. Orvil Holley Youth Leadership Award - nominate a outstanding youth. ► Darrell Mecham Community Service Award - nominate an extraordinary volunteer. The final deadline for nominations is December 4th. Breakfast with Santa Santa Clause will be visiting Marriott-Slaterville City, coining directly from the North Pole. He will arrive on Saturday, December 13, 2014, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Senior Center, 1570 West 400 North. Come enjoy breakfast and meet the Jolly Old Elf. Remember to bring a camera! Winter Weather Advisory Fall can come and go fast in our climate, so this means winter weather may soon be upon us. Please drive with caution. Remember it is illegal to park on the side of the road during and after a snowstorm event because Weber County will be snow plowing the roads. Vehicles parked on the road-side during or after a snowstorm may be towed or ticketed at the owner's expense. Weber County will plow most traveled roads first. Subdivisions and lesser traveled road will be plowed last. Homeowners and business owners with sidewalk are responsible to remove the snow from the sidewalk within 24-hours after a snowstorm.
