With limited water supplies, Weber Basin Water Conservancy District recommends some tips in watering yards and lawns. For those on the pressurized secondary water system: businesses, churches, government facilities may water during the day to allow enough water pressure so that residents can water at night. 1. Residential irrigation is optimal between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. 2. Repair leaky joints or pipes to conserve. 3. Avoid watering during and after rain storms. 4. Keep your sprinklers off streets or sidewalks 5. Avoid over watering. 6. Keep your filters clean and irrigation system in good repair. For residents who are part of an irrigation company, you are subject to the company's turns, rules, and restrictions for your respective irrigation company. May we work together to conserve water this summer. TRAFFIC STUDIES The City has requested UDOT to conduct traffic studies at several busy intersections in the City. A traffic study is required before a intersection signal can be installed. The City requested UDOT to complete a traffic signal study for the following intersections: 1. 700 South and State Road (S.R.) 126 (1900 West). 2. 200 North and S.R. 126 (1900 West). 3.1-15 Ramps at 400 North. 4. 400 North and 1200 West. Traffic has increased at these locations and the City desires to be proactive about getting traffic lights (signals) installed. UDOT makes the final determination if a traffic signal is warranted under the study and if it is to be installed. Local Updates Parks. Our community parks are popular attractions. However, the City Council has closed reservations for the remainder of 2014 to nonresidents due to vandalism and other problems.
