Nominations were accepted by the Mayor for the following: > The Good Neighbor Award - nominate a neighbor or business that is an exemplary example. > Elna Lucas Community Culture/History Award - nominate a person who has contributed to our local community history or culture. > H. Orvil Holley Youth Leadership Award - nominate an outstanding youth. > Darrell Meacham Community Service Award - nominate an extraordinary volunteer. Nominations, with a short supporting statement, were submitted to the City by the deadline of December 4th. Please drive with caution and remember that it is illegal to park on the sides of the road during and after snowstorms because Weber County will be plowing the roads. Any vehicles parked on the roadside during or after a snowstorm may be towed or ticketed at the owner's expense. Weber County will plow the most traveled roads first. Subdivisions and lesser traveled roads will be plowed last. Homeowners and business owners with sidewalks are responsible to remove the snow from the sidewalks within 24-hours after a snowstorm. Please remove your garbage cans from the road as soon as possible after collection. For other winter tips and information, please visit www.weather.com. Another reminder that all parks have been winterized and are closed for reservations until April 15th. |
