Planning Commission Meeting-November 18. 2014 A minor lot subdivision for one lot at 1460 W 400 N was approved for Barry Panter, subject to compliance with the City Engineer, staff and agency recommendations. A Public Hearing was held for discussion/action on a zoning map amendment at 1554 S 1200 W from A-l to C-2P by Ty Martinez. Mr. Martinez is proposing a site plan in order to sell certain construction materials. When the Public Hearing was closed and a Public Meeting reopened, the Commission recommended that this amendment be sent to the City Council for approval. A proposed commercial site plan at 1554 S 1100 W for Mr. Martinez was also approved by the Commission subject to several requirements. Commission and staff follow-up: • The old Perry house on 200 South has been demolished. • Code violations and nuisances on the Jensen property located at 1786 W 250 N for storage of junk and debris, and failure to maintain yard landscaping was discussed. A certificate of non-compliance has been sent to the homeowner and daily fines are being imposed. • The problems with the Vitt property are still ongoing, but the City has not been able to locate him. • Staff reported that there have been complaints on the Butters property. • There have been some problems with the construction project on the Willard Canal at 200 South which Trent has addressed with the contractors. • Mr. Schofield said Corey Combe is hauling dirt onto his property on West 17th St. • Fugal is still waiting for the zoning to be approved, at which time the City will take action. • Mr. Morris was asked if Venture Academy has started construction on their Administration Building. He responded that it has not, even though it has been approved. • The latest update on Morris Meadows Subdivision located on 700 South is that construction will not begin until after the first of the year. |
