The Weber County Chapter of the Red Cross began in December 1915 when a small group of individuals gathered to begin organizing a chapter of the Red Cross. In 1962, the name was changed to the Bonneville chapter, and in 1969, the chapter merged with other chapters in Northern Utah to become the Northern Utah Chapter, with its headquarters located in Ogden, Utah. The scrapbooks range from 1940 to 2003 and highlight some of the important work of the Red Cross. The books include photographs, newspaper clippings, and other materials. |

Show Directors Appointed for Public Service Branch of Red Cross-Chest Drive Numerous Firms Will Aid In Raising Cash for Relief Purposes Leadership for the public serv¬ice division in the sales army for the Red Cross-community chest campaign was announced today by Fred A. Kuhlmann, co-chair¬man. Don E. Leader, manager of the Mountain Fuel Supply Co., is chairman and Frank D. Sawyer, man¬ager of the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Co., vice chair¬man. Within this division there will be six groups of firms, and each group will have its individual chairman, and in some cases vice chairmen. These groups and their leaders are as follows: Transportation, L. P. Hopkins, superintendent of the Southern Pacific railroad; T. J. Foley, R. E. Edens, P. W. Fuller, vice chairmen; utilities, Harold R. Harward, commercial superintend¬ent of Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Co.; finance, C. I.
