Show THE PART THE COMMUNITY CAN PLAY The community can help by opening its doors for demonstration purposes or by lending its experts as speakers and teachers. They can also be helpful in making space available in which training courses can be given and discussion groups can meet. Because of the activity nature of the Girl Scout program and the necessity for demonstrating activities, such as first aid, folk dancing, homemaking, and camping, unusual meeting places are needed. The community can also be helpful by making persons trained in educational methods and techniques available as members of a training committee. These persons are usually members of a finance committee. Qualifications. This Office also issues publications prepared to give information concerning finance methods of all kinds. WHAT MAKES THE JOB MORE IMPORTANT TODAY The finance of social and educational agencies are faced today with the important job of seeing that the services of their agencies are supported in the face of added financial drains on the community in the interests of (10 the national victory program, and (20 war relief. IT is up to the finance committee to show the community that in addition to the investments it must make for today, it should make an investment for the future through its contributions to agencies that train youth to preserve and build this democracy of ours.
