Attaching tapes Place two (2) lower sets of tape on right and left backs about ¼ inch under the hem. Stitch hem full length. Turn the tapes over the outer edge of hem and make a second stitching the full length of the hem and across the tapes, a slight distance from the first stitching. Sew upper set of tapes on collar after finished and at the lower edge and in line with the other tapes. Turn the end under and sew with two rows of stitches. Sew the underarm tapes firmly in the under seam. Method of making Make hems on backs on outside at the same time attaching the tapes as before described. Stitch the dart on outside of center front ½ inch wide at the neck edge, and 9 inches long. Do not cut this dar. Over dart stitch outside facing about 12 inches by 2 inches wide, ending in a point. If the dart is not used this fullness in the dart may be put in collar bend with gathers, thus increasing the width of the chest measure of the garment. Sew collar band on inside of neck finishing it on the outside then stitching all edges. Sew tapes on collar and sleeves, then sew in the sleeves. Sew underarm seams, at the same time stitching in underarm tapes. Make hems at bottom of garment and sleeves on the inside. Pattern No patter available from headquarters.
