The Weber County Chapter of the Red Cross began in December 1915 when a small group of individuals gathered to begin organizing a chapter of the Red Cross. In 1962, the name was changed to the Bonneville chapter, and in 1969, the chapter merged with other chapters in Northern Utah to become the Northern Utah Chapter, with its headquarters located in Ogden, Utah. The scrapbooks range from 1940 to 2003 and highlight some of the important work of the Red Cross. The books include photographs, newspaper clippings, and other materials. |

Show COMMENTS REGARDING MATERIAL AVAILABLE Item 4 Cotton Bathrobing (Convalescent Robes) A good quality of cotton bathrobing in solid brown, maroon and navy blue has been purchased. Item 5 Bleached Twill (Bed Shirts and Operating Gowns) Bleached twill, in a good weight will "be furnished for the above items. Item 7 Striped Outing Flannel (Mon's Hospital Pajamas, Women's Night¬gowns and Children's Pajamas) The quality such as has been sent you in the past was purchased. Since it may not bo possible to got all the material in stripes, you may receive some yardage in solid pastel shades and white which would bo suitable for the women's and children's wear. Item 11 Cotton Dress Goods (Women’s Dresses) Part of the yardage has been purchased in fabrics similar to those used in the past, that is, the heavier weight suiting types. The balance of the goods will be colorful prints in lighter weight cloths. Item 12 Woolen Tweeds (Women’s Skirts) The material will average 56” in width and will be a blend of wool and rayon. Various colors and patters are available. Item 14 Twill Flannel (Boys* Shirts) Blue and gray flannel similar to that sent previously will be furnished. Item 15 Whipcord and Gabardine (Boys' Overalls) On this quota., a whipcord similar to that furnished in the past has been purchased and also a navy blue gabardine. You will find both of these fabrics will be serviceable and warn. Item 16 Woolen Cheviot (Boys’ Shorts) A navy blue and gray part-wool cheviot wil be furnished. Item 19 Part-Wool Flannel (Rompers) Rompers for children in sizes 1 and 2 aro to be made from a part- wool and rayon cloth that has been designed especially for this purpose. The cloth has been proved highly satisfactory for this use and will be furnished in soft shades suitable for infants' wear. |
