The Weber County Chapter of the Red Cross began in December 1915 when a small group of individuals gathered to begin organizing a chapter of the Red Cross. In 1962, the name was changed to the Bonneville chapter, and in 1969, the chapter merged with other chapters in Northern Utah to become the Northern Utah Chapter, with its headquarters located in Ogden, Utah. The scrapbooks range from 1940 to 2003 and highlight some of the important work of the Red Cross. The books include photographs, newspaper clippings, and other materials. |

Show 2 Item 22 Double Nap Flannel (Bod Jackets for women and children) A -very soft warm, flannel in pink and "blue has been purchased for the making of bod jackets for women and children. This fabric is similar to that used in infants’ blankets. Item 23 Plaid Flannel (Lining for Coats) Those brigh plaids are to be used only for lining he boys’ and girls’ woolen coats (Items 26 an d26A) Item 24 Cotton Blouse Material (Women’s and Girls’ Blouses) The cotton blouse material is of a sturdy construction in a wide variety of patterns and colors, all of them equally adaptable to the making of women’s and girls’ blouses. Item 25 Bleached Muslin (Slips and Petticoats for women and girls) Beached muslin has been purchased for use in making slips and petticoats for women and girls. Item 26, 26A and 26B You will find these materials quite in contrast to the striped outing flannels which have been used so far in the making of sleeping garments. The new material will be much lighter in weight and will be designed in prints and stripes. Item 27 Light Weight Shirtings (Men’s and Boys’ Shirts) This will be a new item in the making of shirts for men and boys and is a light-weight cotton material in stripes and solid colors. Items 28 and 28A Woolen Twee d and Flannel (Boys’ and Girls’ Coats) The fabrics selected for the making of coats for boys and girls include both tweed and flannel types. |
