The additional value contributed to chapter-produced articles shipped abroad, by volunteer labor and by the expenditure of a portion of the above funds retained by and made available to chapters, is estimated at $9,687,584.16, making a total of $60,898,649.13 to be accounted for in terms of values available for relief to June 30, 1941. Of this amount $10,716,- 597.08 worth of materials requisitioned from governmental agencies for direct ship¬ment to chapters and $3,095,000.00 allocated for handling costs at home and abroad cannot be allocated to foreign countries as of June 30, 1941, which leaves the sum of $47,087,052.05 to be accounted for in terms of relief made available to each foreign country in which Red Cross operations have been conducted.
