Marriott-Slaterville City History March 2015 Marriott-Slaterville Monthly History March 2015 March came in like a lion with an early spring snow storm, but within just a few days all the snow melted as it quickly warmed up again. The warm temperatures started in December and are caused by a high pressure ridge, which sits over the West and shows no signs of moving. Since that time, the area experienced 48 days in a row of above-normal temperatures. We are basically two months ahead of our normal winter season. The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10:00 am. Kids ages 1-8 are invited to join us at the Slaterville Park where the Easter Bunny will make a special appearance! Bring your camera and see you there, rain or shine! The North Slaterville Irrigation Company annual meeting was held on Thursday, March 19* at 7:00 pm at the City offices. Spring is arriving early and it's time to garden! Gardening brings many health benefits that can improve your mental and physical well-being. Planning Commission Meeting-March 17, 2015 The Commission approved formalization and development of 2 lots for the Tippetts Flag Lot Subdivision located at 3105 W Pioneer Rd. This parcel was previously subdivided by Weber County as an approved flag lot and the developer now wishes to develop the last 2 lots. Approval was given for Diamond Rental to build one of their stores in Marriott-Slaterville City at 1135 W 12th St. A Conditional Use Permit was approved for Love Towing at 795 W 12th St for a towing and automobile repair facility. Commission and Staff follow-up: There was discussion of possibly changing the delivery method for Planning Commission and City Council packets in the future.
