Show Marriott-Slaterville City History April 2015 The City Council also approved Resolution 2015-H adopting an Interlocal Agreement with the Utah State Tax Commission for tax collection services. This Agreement will ensure that the Municipal Telecommunications License Tax is appropriately imposed and collected. [Office reports and legislative oversight!: Mayor Butler is currently working on the tentative budget for the new fiscal year. Mr. Slater indicated that the water will be in the irrigation ditches by the first of May. Mr. Smout recognized the Mayor and city staff for the way they manage the city. He said he hears positive feedback. Mr. Van Leeuwen reported that Weber Fire Station has 9 new paramedics out of Station 69. Council discussed the upcoming 4th of July celebration. Bits and Pieces Keith Wardle Slater, 85, passed away on April 5, 2015. Larry Allen Kautzman, 60, passed away on April 12, 2015. Ronald Dale Greer, 60, passed away on April 27, 2015. For the second year in a row Blaine Draper, who teaches at South Weber Elementary, was nominated for the Standard-Examiner Apple for the Teacher award. Nominations were submitted by students, parents and fellow educators. CONGRATULATIONS!! Senior's Health April newsletter provided information on Women's Eye Health and Safety, including the fact that two-thirds of blindness and vision loss in the population are women. It went on to say that three-fourths of visual impairment is preventable or treatable and offered suggestions of how to do that. |
