Show Marriott-Slaterville City History July 2015 Regina Carver was approved for a private parking area at 195 North 2250 West, subject to traffic control and parking requirements. Planning Commission and City Council Meetings were both cancelled for the month of July. Bits and Pieces C. Val Currie, 71, passed away on July 11, 2015. Craig James Pankiewicz was born on July 2, 2015 to John and Kimberly Pankiewicz. Marian B. Creamer celebrated her 90th birthday on July 15, 2015. After almost 10 years, Sierra RV, currently located at 1200 N Main in Sunset is leaving its location there for a new spot off of 1-15 and 12th Street, north of the Pilot service station in Marriott-Slaterville City. An expanded sales floor, a bigger parts warehouse and a high-end RV park are a few of the features Sierra RV plans for its new location. The new 43-acre location gives the family-owned business room to add an RV park resort, as well as allow expansion of RV storage. Davis County economic officials are disappointed to learn that Sierra RV is leaving the county and taking all of its sales tax revenues to Marriott-Slaterville. However, Davis County Community and Economic Development Director Marlin Eldred told the Standard-Examiner that "it was a business decision where they [Sierra RV] needed room for growth and expansion". |
