Show Marriott-Slaterville City History May 2015 into a trailer which was parked behind the building, and then haul a number of Montoya's items to the truck. Montoya is frustrated because no arrest was made after he contacted the police, who met him at a motel where the suspected truck was parked, and confronted the truck's owner. Weber County Sheriff Lt. Lane Findlay said officers did not have enough probable cause to arrest the man for knowingly possessing stolen property. The case is still under investigation. An article in the Standard Examiner reported that a duck named Lucky the Ducky was taken by a fox on May 14th from a farm in Marriott-Slaterville, according to reports by Stacy Palen and John Armstrong, farm owners. The duck was quickly rescued by her owner, Stacy, and seemed to be recovering, but died a few days later. On Saturday, May 16, 2015 non-stop rain kept Weber Fire District crews busy overnight. Crews responded to seven flooding incidents in the County, including Marriott-Slaterville. The calls started coming in around 5:50 pm on Saturday and continued until 2:30 am on Sunday. According to the National Weather Service, Weber and Davis counties received 2-3 inches of rain and more rain was expected. |
