Show Marriott-Slaterville City History September 2015 Marriott-Slaterville Monthly History September 2015 September saw the hot temperatures of summer cool to a more pleasant degree, and then rise again to near record highs the latterend of the month. It is again anticipated that the secondary water district and all irrigation companies will be instructed by Weber Basin Water Conservancy District to shut down all irrigation services on October 1st this year as a conservation measure. The secondary water district may leave on its secondary water system for residents and businesses for a few days longer until the water supplies are exhausted. In accordance with Utah Code ll-36a-501 Marriott-Slaterville City hereby gives Notice of Intent to prepare or amend its Impact Fee Facilities Plans (IFFP), The geographic area where the proposed impact fee facilities will be located constitutes the entire municipal boundaries of Marriott-Slaterville City. In accordance with the Utah Code 17C-4-106 the Marriott-Slaterville City Council hereby gives notice that the City Council adopted Ordinance 2015-04 which approves the Community Development Project Area Plan. This Plan is approved as the official Community Development Plan of the Project Area set forth in Resolution 2015-E and is available to the general public for review during normal business hours. Weber Fire District is hosting a fire prevention open house on October 1st from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Station 61 in Farr West. Various roads throughout the city will be striped and potholes repaired in preparation for winter. Boys in grades 1-9 who are interested in playing basketball may register online at www.cityofharrisville.com or at the Harrisville City office anytime during October. The cost is $35, which includes a jersey. Many families and others have enjoyed our beautiful community parks. Park reservations will close October 15, 2015 in order to drain the water systems, insulate the facilities and winterize them. UDOT has informed the City that beginning in September preparations will begin for installation of a new traffic signal on the northbound 1-15 off-ramp. Planning Commission Meeting-September 15. 2015 A minor lot subdivision for two lots was approved for Brad Slater and Susan Frandsen at 1950 W 700 S. Commission and staff follow-up: The City Council has expressed concern about the lack of development at Morris Meadows. Mr, Morris said he has tried to contact someone from there, but has been unsuccessful. Mr. Morris said he has some information regarding the Vitt property and invited commission members to contact him about it individually. The city must come up with an additional $60,000 in funds in order to purchase the John Hansen property. Mr. Morris said he will submit a grant for that. |
