Show The Pioneer Post Volume XVII Issue 9 Marriott-Slaterville City Newsletter September 2015 1570 West 400 North - Phone Weber Basin Water It is again anticipated that the secondary water district and all irrigation companies will be instructed by Weber Basin Water Conservancy District to shut-down all irrigation services on October 1st this year as a conservation measure. The secondary water district may leave on its secondary water system for residents and businesses for a few days longer until our water supplies are exhausted. Please plan and prepare now for irrigation to end after the first of October. Solid Waste Recycling Program Thank you everyone who participated in the solid waste recycling survey, and those who attended the public hearing on August 20, 2015. Everyone who attended the public hearing were in favor of recycling and offered pful comments. The City Council will take this matter under advisement in order to prepare an action plan to be presented at the meeting on September 17, 2015. Notice of Intent d accordance with Utah Code 1 l-36a-501, Marriott-Slaterville City hereby gives notice of intent to prepare or amend its Impact Fee Facilities Plans (IFFP). The geographic area where the proposed impact fee facilities will be located constitutes the entire municipal boundaries of Mairiott-Slaterville City, Utah. In accordance with Utah Code ll-36a-503, Marriott-Slaterville City gives notice of preparation of an Impact Fee Analysis (IFA). Notice of Community Development Project Area In accordance with Utah Code 17C-4-106, the Marriott- Slaterville City Council hereby gives notice that Ihe City Council adopted Ordinance 2015-04 in accordance with Utah Code §17C-4-I05 which approves the Community Development Project Area Plan (hereafter "Project Area Plan") adopted by the Marriott-Slaterville Community Development and Renewal Agency as set forth in Resolution 2015-E. The Project Area Plan adopted by the City Council is approved as the official Community Development Plan of the Project Area set forth in Resolution 2015-E. The Project Area Plan is effective upon publication of this notice. The adopted Project Area Plan is available to the general public for review during normal business hours at Marriott-Slaterville City Offices located at 1570 West 400 North, Marriott-Slaterville, Utah 84404. Weber Fire District Weber Fire District is hosting a fire prevention open house on October 1, 2015, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Station 61, 2023 W 1300 N, Farr West, 801-782-3580. Come enjoy: the Smoke Maze, Face Painting, Games, Prizes, Inflatable Slide, Firefighters, AirCare Helicopter, Safety Trailer, Demonstrations, and Train Rides. Local Updates • September Road Projects. Various roads throughout the city will be painted and potholes repaired in preparation for winter. • Boys Basketball. Boys in grades 1-9 are invited to play. Many families and others have enjoyed our beautiful community parks. As fall arrives please enjoy autumn at our parks. Keep in mind when planning events that park reservations will close October 15,2015, in order to drain the water systems, insulate the facilities, and winterize. • New Traffic Signal. UDOT has informed the City that starting in September UDOT will be installing a new traffic signal on the northbound 1-15 off-ramp. |
