Several cars were severely damaged. Vehicle parts and other debris were strewn across the interstate. All three northbound lanes were closed while crews investigated the accident. Citations are pending the outcome of the investigation, Ely said. Ely said motorists should be aware of the weather around them because those "storms are fast moving."
