Show Marriott-Slaterville City History April 2015 Planning Commission Meeting-April 21. 2015 Sierra RV Sales and Service, currently located in Davis County, is proposing to relocate their business in Marriott-Slaterville City at approximately 1100 S 1700 W near the Pilot Travel Center. The Commission received comments from the developer, as well as concerns from members of the community. The Commission unanimously granted Site Plan approval with several stipulations attached. Derrick Oman appeared before the Commission regarding his commercial Site Plan at 1582 S 1200 W which was recently re-zoned and which now must be brought up to commercial standards. At the time it was re-zoned he failed to state the proposed use, After discussion the Site Plan was unanimously approved by the Commission with several required stipulations. [Commission and staff follow-up]: The Morris Meadows subdivision wants to move ahead, but there has been a delay due to issues with the secondary water. Vice-Chair Meyerhoffer asked if the City can request that the developer clean the area and Mr, Morris said he has notified them to do that. Whoever has purchased the home formerly owned by the Wadmans is starting to collect junk and this may become an issue. The DeVries property on 700 S has reportedly been sold, and the city is in the process of purchasing the John Hansen property on 17"1 St, which will then be returned to open space. It was reported that a white car has been parked at the Marriott Park for several weeks so Mr. Morris said he will report that to the Sheriff dispatch. City Council Meeting-April 16. 2015 A Business License for Marc's Master Mechanics located at 795 W 12th St was approved by the Council. Mr. Morris announced that the city application for the Community Development Block Grant Application for Removal and Remediation of Slum and Blight at 1700 South in the amount of $400,000 has been approved for funding. This grant will be used to purchase the Hansen property on 17th St and return it to open space. Mayor Butler distributed and presented the quarterly financial report and reviewed it with the Council. Mr. Morris indicated that a survey for the Solid Waste Recycling Program has been prepared and will be mailed out with the resident's water bills to assess the interest in recycling. A Public Hearing was held regarding the proposed Sierra RV Sales and Service relocation to a 43 acre site at the end of 1700 West off of 12th Street near the Pilot Travel Center. The City Council unanimously approved Resolution 2015-G to adopt an interlocal agreement with Weber County for the 2015 election services. By doing so the City agrees to consolidate all election administration functions and decisions of the County Clerk to ensure the successful conduct of multiple, simultaneous municipal elections. |
