Show Marriott-Slaterville City History November 2015 behind the city office and refurbished. Mr. Morris agreed to help them apply for a RAMP grant to obtain the funds to move the cabin. Council discussed and approved an amendment to the Waste Management Agreement for Recycling, The term of the agreement is from November 1, 2015 through June 30, 2020. Council discussed and approved a Resolution approving the Amended Interlocal Agreement on the Marriott-Slaterville Community Development Plan as requested by Weber County and for the UDOT Interlocal Agreement on landscaping. Mr. Morris indicated that this Resolution will require Sierra RV to landscape UDOT properties to their specifications on the properties adjoining the CDA plan area. This agreement will allow Sierra RV to landscape on the south side of the property on UDOT property. The City Council gave final approval to Upland Ranches Subdivision for 10 lots located at approximately 200 S 2300 W. The approval is subject to Planning Commission and City Engineer requirements being met. The City Council approved funds to purchase a new 80" Touch Screen Interactive Aquas Board for the City. The board will allow projects to be viewed on a board rather than just paper. City Council authorized the 1200 West Reconstruction Project between 400 N and 900 N, subject to prior agreements. Other upcoming road projects include 1700 S reconstruction and relocation, and reconstruction of lower Pioneer Road to the tune of $2.2 million, which is being funded with County money. Bits and Pieces Upcoming events within the City include Breakfast with Santa in December and the annual City Christmas Party, which takes place after the City Council Meeting on December 17th. Community awards will be presented at the Council meeting as well. All city parks have been winterized for the season and are closed until April 15, 2016. Solid waste recycling will begin in January 2016. Those wishing to opt-out must contact the City by December 15, 2015. Thanks to all the volunteers and participants who helped make another wonderful Trunk-or-Treat. Everyone had a great time and the weather cooperated beautifully. Residents were reminded that during the winter there is no parking on roads during and after snowstorms in order for the snow plows to operate. Weber County plows the most traveled roads first, and subdivisions and lesser traveled roads will be plowed last. Homeowners and business owners with sidewalks are responsible to remove the snow from the sidewalk within 24-hours after a snowstorm. Venture Academy held a 5K Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 20th at 9:00 am. People were invited to walk/run the loops around their campus at $15/person and $50 for a family of 4. The event was sponsored by Ragnarand Peak Performance. A Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training will begin on Thursday, January 14, 2016 and continue on consecutive Thursdays through February 25th at the Ogden Weber Tech College, 200 N Washington Blvd from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
