This year has come with challenges and new opportunities. I am grateful for our wonderful volunteers and staff who work hard to make this a great place to live. Marriott-Slaterville is a dynamic community where neighbors watch out for each other. We have great parks and services. There are many challenges in our world today, and people are busier then ever working to support families and make ends meet. I appreciate our Council for their efforts in making our community affordable to live. t year, come enjoy our parks, walk our trails, show inanks to your neighbor, and help create a better community. May you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Landlord Business License Since 2013, the owner of any residential rental property is required to obtain a business license. If you are renting residential property to another you may require a business license. If you have not obtained a business license for your rental property you are to submit a application on or before December 31, 2015. There has been an increase in criminal activity at residential rental properties in the city. All criminal activity is tracked by address and maintained by the Weber County Sheriff. The business license fee is based upon the calls for service for law enforcement provided to you and averaged with other similarly situated residential rental units. If you opt to participate in the Good Landlord Program you may receive credit towards your fee. For information on the Good Landlord Program contact Becky at 801- 627-1919 ext. 202.
