Show Virgie Wood Storrer April 30, 1918 ~ March 3, 2015 OGDEN - Virgie Wood Storrer, 96, passed away March 3, 2015. She was born April 30,1918 in Fielding, Utah to Oliver Dewey and Cora Bell (Toler) Wood. Virgie lived in Fielding and Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High. Most of her life she lived in Slaterville. Virgie married Arthur Wayne Storrer August 9,1939 in Tremonton, Utah, later solemnized in the LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church and was active in the Relief Society. She loved fishing and gardening but family was her life. She worked at Hoffman Cleaners, Cliftons Dress Shop and retired from HAFB. Virgie is survived by her children, Gary (Connie), Jon (Joyce), Ted (Suzanne), Rick (Linda) and son-in-law, Jim Car- rigan; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Arthur; her daughter, Gloria and granddaughter, Alisa Walker. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7,2015 at the Slaterville LDS Church, 250 N. 1500 W. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www. myers-mortuary.com Matthew Dean Hess February 8, 1973 ~ March 5, 2015 Matthew Dean Hess, our much loved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend was called home on Thursday, March 5, 2015. He was the son of Brent Reed and Margaret Myler Hess and was born on February 8,1973, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He spent his childhood in North Ogden and graduated from Weber High School in 1991. In 2004 he graduated from Weber State University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering Technology. He married Dawn Maertz, gether they had four children and lived in Utah, Idaho, and Oklahoma. They later separated and he returned to Ogden and worked for UCS Wireless as a System Integration Expert. Matt loved his children with all of his heart and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He was an avid gun collector and loved the outdoors. Matt was in a loving relationship with Kelly Jean Mitchell and they had many plans for their future together. He is survived by his three daughters and one son: Dylan (Derek Hughes) Hess, Ryann Lynn Hess of Las Vegas, Nevada, Parker James Hess and Makeny Lee Hess; two grandsons, Nickolus Emery Hess and Drake Austin Hughes; his mother, Margaret Myler Hess; and three brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, Brent Reed Hess and ex-wife, Dawn Maertz Hess. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 12,2015 at the Coldwater Stake Center, 2100 N. 770 E., North Ogden. A viewing will be held prior to the service at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
