Now is the time to recognize someone for going above and beyond as a neighbor, business, leader, youth, or volunteer. Nominations are now being accepted by the Mayor for the following: The Good Neighbor Award - nominate a neighbor or business that is an exemplary example. > Elna Lucas Community Culture/History Award - nominate a person who has contributed to our local community history or culture. H. Orvil Holley Youth Leadership Award - nominate an outstanding youth. Darrell Mecham Community Service Award - nominate an extraordinary volunteer. The deadline for nominations is December 3rd. Please send your nomination with a short supporting statement to: Marriott-Slaterville City, 1570 West 400 North, MSC, UT 84404. Breakfast with Santa Santa Clause will be visiting Marriott-Slaterville City on Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Senior Center, 1570 West 400 North. Upland Ranches Subdivision for 10 lots at approximately 200 South 2300 West. 5. Development Agreement for Sierra RV. 6. Funds for 80" Sharp Aquos Board. 7. 1200 West Reconstruction Project. 8. Local Updates • Park Closed for Season. All city parks have been winterized and are closed for reservations until April 15, 2016. • Recycling Program. Solid Waste Recycling will commence in January 2016. For those that desire to opt-out call 801-627- 1919 before December IS, 2015. • Trunk-or-Treat. Thank you to all the volunteers and participants who helped make another wonderful Trunk-or- Treat. Everyone had a great time haunting the park and the weather helped make a fantastic event. • Winter Weather and Snowplowing. No parking on roads during and after snowstorms in order for the snow plows to operate. Weber County plows the most traveled roads first. Subdivisions and lesser traveled roads will be plowed last. Homeowners and business owners with sidewalks are responsible to remove the snow from the sidewalk within 24- hours after a snowstorm. Venture Academy Turkey Trot 5K. Become CERT Trained A Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course will begin Thursday, January 14 2016 and continue on consecutive Thursdays through February 25th at the Ogden- Weber Tech College, 200 North Washington Boulevard from 6:30 - 9:00 PM in the Business Technology Building Lecture Hall. Training includes personal and family preparedness, light search and rescue, basic fire suppression and utilities control, disaster medical triage and victim treatment, disaster psychology, terrorism awareness, and CERT team organization and management. The S30 course fee pays for personal CERT safety gear and training materials.
