Special Dedication to a Good Man . . .To Joseph Alonzo Parrish, a man who gave 23 years of his life in the service of the Lord as Bishop of the Mountain Green LDS Ward. A 'man without guile,' he worked tirelessly to keep the tiny Ward functioning. He was a peacemaker, counselor, friend, and an influence for good in every sense of the word. Through his far sightedness and leadership, many improvements were introduced for the benefit of the community and all who lived there. He was the driving force behind the ambitious plans to build a chapel for the Ward and his unflagging enthusiasm and energy saw the project through to its successful completion. A devoted father and husband, Bishop Parrish was also a neighbor who could be counted on to give his full support to all worthy causes and did his share under all circumstances, never deviating from his honesty and integrity throughout his entire life.
