Glen Charles Elois Lon was very inventive. He made a brass Felton water wheel motor which ran a 32 volt generator which stored electricity in batteries for use in the home and his machine shop. He invented a type of air brake for a minature railroad whi¬ch Westinghouse bought for the use on all railroads, one of his proud achievements was the making of a violin, using hair from the tail of his favorite horse, for the bow. He drew the plans for the Mountain Green sandstone chapel and served as YMMIA President and as a counselor in the Sunday School. Lottie served as a counselor in the Primary and Relief Society. In 1924 Lon worked on the construction of the power plant in Weber Canyon and worked there after as an operator. In about 1914 a homeless youth, Lawerence Goldman, came to live with Lon and Lottie. He was welcomed as one of the family and stayed until he was married. Later in life Lon and Lottie took their children to the Salt Lake Temple and were sealed as a family. They were parents of three children, Glen, Charles and Elois. In about 1928 the family moved into a home at the Power Plannt in the canyon where they li¬ved until 1947 when Lon retir¬ed. He and Lottie built a home in Ogden, where they lived the rest of their lives. Alonzo Robinson died 25 Mar¬ch 1959- Eleven months later Charlotte died.
