Show SPECIAL MEETING HELD NOV. 11, 1928 Stake President M. Howard Randall, presiding. Singing: "O Ye Mountains High." Prayer: Elder Francis Bingham Singing: "Do What Is Right." President Randall explained that the meeting was held to dissolve the Mountain Green and Peterson Wards and organize them into one (Ward). The following brethren were chosen: Bishop—Joseph A. Parrish First Counselor--James W. Carrigan Second Counselor—John E. Hulet Ward Clerk—Arthur Whitear The three brethren said that they would accept their positions and do the best they could. Brother Sylvester Heiner said he was pleased with the large attendance. He thought that the consolidation was a good thing for the Wards. He also gave a few suggestions on the building of the new meeting house. Singing—Count Your Many Blessings Benediction—Calvin Geary Final amounts for Mountain Green tithing received: $530.57 On 11 November, 1928, the Mountain Green Ward was disorganized and joined the Peterson Ward. This was the second time the Mountain Green Branch or Ward had been disorganized and made a part of the Peterson Ward. The first time occurred in 1877. In 1889 Mountain Green again became a Ward and this organization functioned until 1928 when the Ward was again disbanded and made a part of the Peterson Ward. 48 |
