Show of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When called on to assist on a project, Lafe could be counted on to do his share and then going the extra mile by putting in extra time. Naomi, an excellent cook and hard worker, sold washing machines at one time, going to the homes of her customers and doing their washings, to show what her product was capable of doing. Naomi Heiner died, 9 May 1947. One year after her death the Round Valley farm was sold and Lafe moved with his children to Seattle, Washington, where six of his children now live (1985). He died, 17 February 1964. —Joyce Heiner Fisher, Clinton, Utah 1928 At one time Alonzo Robinson rented the old John Robinson, Jr. Home to a fam¬ily by the name of Huber, who lived in Mountain Green for an undetermined length of time. Very little in known about the family, except bits and pieces gleaned here and there. Philip Huber was born, 3 May 1906, in Boise, Idaho, a son of Conrad and Rose Shrader Huber. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, 5 April 1914, by J.E. Hogan in the Ensign Stake. He grew up in Boise, spending his youth on his father's farm. At the time of his marriage to Cassie Lillian Spendlove, he was living in the old WOW Hall in Morgan City. The marriage took place, 7 April 1928, in Farmington, Davis County. The you¬ng couple lived in Farmington a short time before moving to Morgan County. Cassie Lillian Spendlove was born, 19 September 1904, in Littleton, Morgan County, a daughter of William Orson and Ann Elizabeth Clawson Spendlove. Lillie attended school in Littleton and also attended Morgan High School. On 25 January 1929, Philip Huber Jr. was born. He was not a healthy child and lived most of his five short years with his grandparents in Littleton. In August of 1932 Lillie died in a Provo Hospital. In October of 1933, Phil¬lip Huber Jr. died at his grandparents home. Both are buried in Littleton. Philip Huber married as his second wife, Thelma Margaret Orton, daughter of Thomas Edward and Wealtha Giles Orton. She was born, 21 April 1918, in N. Ogden. Dewey Spendlove, Brigham City 280 |
