SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PROPOSED NEW GENERAL PLAN THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 1999 AT 6:00 P.M. at the Marriott-Slaterville City Hall at the West Gate of DDO 1195 West 400 North Copies of the General Plan are available for review at City Hall (or they may be purchased for $2.50) during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or during special hours as follows: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 28th, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 29th, and 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 30th. all public comments are welcome in this final public hearing. It is anticipated that the city council/mayor will consider the proposed general plan recommended by the planning commission (after weeks of public hearings), and that the city council/mayor will make a final decision regarding the general plan (with or without changes) by the end of the public meeting/hearing. The Planning Commission will be addressing potential recommendations for amendments to the city zoning ordinance during its next few meetings. The current city zoning ordinance was adopted from and almost identical to the Weber County zoning ordinance. The regular meetings of the Planning Commission are 7:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, with work sessions to be held before some of the meetings, as posted. The regular meetings of the Board of Adjustment/Ordinance Committee are 5:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. The regular meetings of the Mayor and Department Heads are 5:00 p.m. on the first and third thursdays of each month. The regular meetings of the City Council are 6:00 p.m. on the first and third thursdays of each month (or occasionally specially scheduled on a fifth thursday). 270
