Show Tell Me What is Happening People want to know what is going on in their community. But the modern world is a complex place and our lives seem ever busier, so staying informed is not an easy task. This makes a most difficult job for local government to keep people informed. Our community is willing to meet this challenge, albeit not without some growing pains. If you don't feel informed, please call the city office (627-1919) with an idea on how to better inform the community. Such input has led to the inception of this community newsletter designed to inform residents of what issues the mayor and city council face monthly. Other things being done to inform the public include posting agendas at four locations in the community, namely: Excel, Phillips 66 (Country Cuzzins), Mulligans, and City Hall. Also, notices are placed in the Standard-Examiner from time to time. But many people don't want to have to visit these locations to find out what is going on, and not everyone takes the newspaper. More can be done to get the word out in our local government, and with added input we can have an informed community. Please let us know your ideas - YOU are an important voice in our community.
