Show The Pioneer Post Marriott-Slaterville City Newsletter June 2000 Volume II Issue 6 MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR At the end of our first year as a city, I want to thank everyone within our borders for their efforts in making our first year an overwhelming success. There are so many people that have given of their time and talents in volunteering that I could not name them all. There have been literally thousands of hours of work given at no cost to the city in order for us to succeed. Unless you are involved in the daily operations of the city, you would not believe the tremendous amount of work that transpires. As a result we have achieved most of our governmental and financial budget goals. We even have a small cushion for future emergencies. Our next year's budget will begin July 1st, and will require close monitoring (if we don't need it, we won't buy it), but it will be done with our promise of no property tax in Marriott-Slaterville. Mayor NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS Notice is hereby given that the Marriott-Slaterville Planning Commission and City Council will host several important public hearings on June 28 at 7:00 PM, and July 6 at 6:00 PM respectively.
