PLANNING COMMISSION June 12, 1990 Page Ten Mr. Blair displayed a drawing for an overall plan for his property. He indicated he would like to make this property a first class operation. Mike Bourn of the Weber Economic Development Corporation and Commissioner Peterson made a site inspection of his site and they recommended that he proceed with the project. Mr. Blair feels they need to move ahead with the promotion of this total project so that important opportunities will not be lost. The longer they have to promote the idea, the longer they have to use discretion of what type of businesses they want to attract. If they are restricted to using only the west part of the property then an important access will be lost. Orvil Holley of the Slaterville Planning Committee indicated concern that the residents have not had a chance to consider Mr. Blair's proposal. Keith Butler indicated that with the new County Fairgrounds and Mr. Blair's golf course the traffic has increased tremendously and with and industrial park there could be potential traffic problems. Discussion followed on whether all of Mr. Blair's proposal was a part of the original zoning petition. Orvil Holley indicated that he would like to have this item tabled in order for the Slaterville Planning Committee to hold a meeting with Mr. Blair to discuss this proposal. MOTION: Commissioner Coleman moved to table Mr. Blair's proposal until the July 31, 1990 meeting. The motion failed for lack of a second. Discussion followed concerning whether the masterplan should be approved or changed before any decisions are made. The motion seconded by Commissioner Fuller and voting was unanimous, with Commissioners Coleman, Fuller, Widdison and Thompson voting aye. Commissioner moved to table the remaining agenda items until the next meeting on June 26, 1990. The motion was seconded with all voting aye.
