Show July 16, 23, August 1, 1998 NOTICE OF INCORPORATION ELECTION FOR MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE CITY Election Date: Tuesday, August 4, 1998 Polling Location: Pioneer Elementary School 250 N. 1600 W. Time of Election: 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Notice is hereby given that all feasibility study and incorporation petition requirements have been met, and an election for the purpose of incorporation as a Third Class City will be held for all registered voters who reside in the proposed area for incorporation (MAR001 Voting Precinct): The following five sponsors are appointed and accepted by all of the signers of the feasibility petition to represent the signers and to do the following if the incorporation measure passes: (a) select the number of council members the new city should have and (b) draw district boundaries for the election of council members, if the voters decide to elect council members by district. Ilium, Slaterville (860-4582) AREA PROPOSED FOR INCORPORATION: Land Area: The area proposed to be incorporated comprises all of the area currently in the Marriott and Slaterville Township Planning Districts, with no additional area being added. It includes approximately 7.3 square miles and is roughly bounded by the Ogden Defense Depot and 700 West on the east, ranges from 1000 North (at the east end) to roughly 2100 North (at the west end) on its northern border, and from 1900 South (at the east end) to roughly 1000 North (at the west end) on its southern border. The study area is very irregularly shaped because it follows the boundaries of the Weber River on the south and west borders and is bordered by Farr West and Plain City to the north and West Haven directly to the south.
