Show BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING PROCEDURES MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE CITY 1. The Council President will call for a motion and vote to open a public hearing on the budget. 2. The city staff will be asked to make the 1999-2000 budget presentation. 3. The public will then be asked to express their comment on the 1999-2000 budget as follows: a. Wait to be recognized by the Council President. b. Come to the microphone, and give your name and address for the public record. c. State your point as concisely as possible. d. Address your comments to the Council. 4. Once the public has had time to comment, the Council will close the public hearing after a motion and vote. Discussion after the closure of the hearing will be amongst the Councilmembers, or they may wish to request additional information from the city staff, or individuals in the audience. 5. The council will then take action to : approve, disapprove, approve with changes, or table/continue the proposal. 6. Once action has been taken, the Council President will move on to the next issue before the Council. Your attendance and interest in the community is appreciated! 225 |
