Life-long, except for an LDS mission, and 2 years of college when I lived in Ogden. Profession or work: AT&T, sales executive. Position filled: City Council Special Responsibilities: Bona Vista Water Prior involvement with planning, township and/or incorporation efforts: Served on planning, township and incorporation committees. Served as Chair of the Incorporation Petition Committee, and collected signatures to put the incorporation vote on the ballot. Special ties to the City: My ancestors on both sides arrived in the area in the early 1850s. My children are 7TH generation to live in the city. I live on land that has been in the family since the 1850s. Your vision for the City's future: Hopefully it will stay rural as long as possible. Regardless of what happens, my goal and hope is that we can stay small enough that we keep the country feel to the town. I know there are those who hate to look at weeds and think property looks better when it's manicured complete with sidewalks and white fences. I enjoy seeing neatly kept yards too, but I like to see the weeds along the ditch banks and cedar post and barbed wire fence lines. I like to see open fields instead of houses all packed together. It reminds me we live in the country away from the noise and problems of a big city. 255
