First organized in the year 1867 with Thomas Wadsworth as superintendent with the following aids or teachers: Thomas Salisburg, Caleb Parry, Sr., William Gill, Ellen Salisburg, Sarah Joyce and Nancy Tracy. The school met with success for a year, after which Thomas Wadsworth moved from this district. In 1868 the Sabbath School was reorganized with Thomas Salisburg as superintendent. He conducted the school with ability and success. Jubilee. In response to a call from Richard B. Ballantyne, County Superintendent of Sabbath Schools, a subscription of $6 was made for the purpose of providing prizes to be competed for at a Sabbath School Jubilee at the Tabernacle in Ogden in September of 1872. On July 24, 1874, a County Banner. The Sabbath School of Weber County participated in a Jubilee held in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. They had a suitable banner for the occasion for which this school contributed $2. On January 1, 1874, a number of prizes of books were given to the Sunday School by the Relief Society of this district. These incidents are previous to the commencement with the school and are deemed worthy of being kept on record. 379
