Show FARMINGTON SPEECH Oct. 13, 1970 At the outset let me thank you for the invitation to participate in this kick-off breakfast for the San Juan United Way Campaign. In pondering why the invitation was extended to me to appear before you, two possibilities crossed my mind. First, it was the price you were willing to pay to call to my attention that our company's corporate gift has not kept pace with the improved level of giving demonstrated by our Navajo Mine employees. If this was the reason, it has worked and I pledge to you that Utah's corporate contribution will be very substantially increased.
