As the earnings have increased and the nature of the company has been changed, the stock market has accorded our shares a multiple unmatched by other mining companies. As a consequence the shares have increased some eight-fold during the last 6 years and today, measured by the total market value of the shares outstanding, Utah has risen in size from its humble beginnings as a mining company to the fourth largest in market value of shares issued of all of the mining companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
