Show 4. THE AMERICAN MINING CONGRESS IS SO IMPORTANT TO US ALL, FOR IT GIVES US THE MEANS OF CONCERTING OUR ACTION AND PRESENTING A UNITED FRONT. I AM SURE THAT ALLEN FINDS WELCOME RELIEF IN HIS DUTIES OTHER THAN THOSE ON THE POLITICAL FRONT. BESIDES KEEPING THE MEMBERSHIP INFORMED ABOUT THE WASHINGTON SCENE, THE AMERICAN MINING CONGRESS STAFF DEVOTES MUCH USEFUL EFFORT TO UPGRADING AND DISSEMINATING TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE MINING INDUSTRY AND SOME OF THE MORE TRADITIONAL ASPECTS OF ITS BUSINESS. THIS WE CAN OBSERVE FROM THE PROGRAM BEING OFFERED HERE IN DENVER THIS WEEK AND THROUGH THE MONTHLY ISSUES OF THE MINING JOURNAL. THEN THERE IS THE VERY DEMANDING WORK OF PLANNING, SCHEDULING, PREPARATION AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL THAT IS REQUIRED FOR A CONVENTION LIKE THIS OR THE VERY SUCCESSFUL COAL SHOW HELD |
