Show 14. extraordinary item in 1969 and another $1,355,000 in 1971. (Slide 2 - off). In our Annual Report for 1968 we included a supplementary section entitled "Opporttinities for Growth". It described our plans to build a new uranium mill at Shirley Basin and convert that mine to an open-pit operation; to expand our steam coal mine at Navajo; and to open up a new coking coal mine in Queensland and a new copper mine and mill in British Columbia. Subsequently a second coking coal mine was added in Queensland which came into operation in 1972. This program is now essentially complete and the impact on our financial statements shows clearly in our gross revenues from operations. (Slide 3 - on). These figures have been restated |
