Show LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: At the outset let me also express my deep appreciation for again being granted the privilege of appearing before you. When last we met over three years ago, our company was known as Utah Construction & Mining Co. Now, to protect the innocent, the name has been changed to Utah International Inc. in recognition of the fact that we have disposed of our heavy construction and dredging assets. When the company was first founded in 1900 it was known as The Utah Construction Company. It started life as a builder of railroads with an initial capital of $24, 000. In its first year of operation it reported a profit of $131, 000. As I calculate it, this represented a return on capital of 545% and a growth |
