OCR Text	Show 11. TO CORRECT THEIR MISTAKE. IT WAS TIME TO CUT THEIR LOSSES. HISTORY HAD DEMONSTRATED IT WAS INDEED CHEAPER TO HAVE ERNIE AS A TRUSTEE THAN AS A DEAN. FROM THE STANDPOINT OF THE WELLS FARGO IT WAS A RISKLESS ADVENTURE. NO ONE HAS EVER DEMONSTRATED MORE CONCLUSIVELY THAN DICK COOLEY AN ABILITY TO PERFORM SPLENDIDLY WITH OR WITHOUT A GOOD RIGHT ARM. THIS BRINGS ME TO THE SECOND SUBJECT - ARJAY MILLER. AT THE LAST MEETING A LOT WAS SAID ABOUT ARJAY AND IT WOULD BE BOUND TO SUFFER THROUGH REPITITION. AT THE FACULTY DINNER JACDICKE'S ROLE WAS TO PRAISE ARJAY. MY ASSIGNMENT TONIGHT IS TO BURY HIM. I FIRST MET ARJAY AT A SMALL DINNER PARTY AT WALLY STERLING'S WHEN WE WERE RUSHING HIM FOR THE JOB. WALLY STERLING MAY APPEAR AS A MAN WITHOUT MISCHIEF BUT BEHIND THAT BIG CUDDLY ST. BERNARD LOOK IS A MACHIAVELLIAN APPROACH THAT LEAVES LITTLE TO CHANCE. THE STAGE WAS CAREFULLY SET. BILL HEWLETT WAS THERE WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO LOOK GENEROUS. I WAS THERE TO INDICATE TO ARJAY THE WHEREABOUTS OF A SOURCE
