IN ALL THE YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN WRITING AND GIVING SPEECHES I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO USE THE SAME ONE TWICE, AND THIS SEEMED THE VERY ESSENCE OF POOR PRODUCTIVITY, A CONDITION THAT CRIED FOR CORRECTION. FOURTH, WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO HEAR IS WHY I WAS AVAILABLE ON SHORT NOTICE. PART OF THIS SPEECH WAS DELIVERED BEFORE THE AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF DIRECTORS AND IT SEEMS A SAFE ASSUMPTION THAT NONE OF YOU WAS THERE TO HEAR IT. ALL OF THIS SPEECH WAS READIED TO PRESENT TWO WEEKS AGO WHEN I WAS THE "EXECUTIVE IN RESIDENCE" AT DENVER UNIVERSITY'S SCHOOL OF BUSINESS. IT WENT UNDELIVERED THERE BECAUSE THE COMBINATION OF D. U.'S ADVANCE PUBLICITY AND MY DRAWING POWER PRODUCED AN AUDIENCE OF 12 PEOPLE. |
