Show 25. a price/earnings multiple far higher than that accorded to other companies. Why this is so I can only speculate but these factors come to my mind. As an investment the common stock of Utah International displays some uncommon characteristics. Its earnings have grown rapidly and consistently in an industry where such performance is an exception. Its earnings are less sensitive to wide fluctuations in mineral prices than those of most other mining companies. Its future is more predictable because it has sold the bulk of its output under long-term contracts. (Slide 17 - on).
