The current level of production should be well maintained and possibly improved assuming there is no shutdown of smelter capacity from either environmental causes or from a work stoppage when the major copper companies renegotiate their labor contracts next year. Turning now to Utah's own activities, land development will report a modest loss in 1973 and this is likely to continue into 1974. The problem here centers around our inability to obtain the right zoning to develop 900 acres in the City of Alameda known as Bay Farm Island with any prospect of a fair return.
