Show 11. the news of his pending retirement became public knowledge last September. Money has eased unbelievably, the prime rate has been cut again and again, and bank stocks have risen in price and in investor favor. A more difficult fact to explain is that Utah's shares have risen in value some 15% since the news of Dyk's departure. Looking behind the scenes we can probably attribute this to his efforts to see that the valuation of the profit sharing plan attained an unusually high level on February 1. But now the time has come for us to hear from those who have worked for him and with him over the years. Let's get on with the show. |
